In the lead up to Rosanna Primary Schools 75th Anniversary celebration, we want to stop and reflect on how so many people, past and present, have contributed to the history of our school and so we will be showcasing some of these amazing stories.
We would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all students, staff and families past and present without whom the success of our school community would not be possible.
Rosanna Primary School is a special place because of you all.

Our Past Parents
For some of you, these amazing women do not need any introduction. Mrs Margaret Long, Mrs Norma Marsh and Mrs Joan McLean were all very active mothers in the Rosanna Primary School community during the 60’s and early 70’s and remain life long friends.
For Mrs Long, mother of Robert (64), Alan (68) and Susan (71), the association continues to this day with her grand daughter, Cassandra, in Grade 6 this year. Mrs Long also had two other grand children through the school, Charlotte and Martin, the children of our very own Sharon Henderson, who is a long standing staff member of Rosanna.
The three mothers all held positions of responsibility on the then Mothers Group and by default were members of the School Council – which at that time was an all male domain.
Mrs Norma Marsh, mother to Randal (64) and Paula (69), was the President of the Mothers Committee for many years and remembers the school population reaching in excess of 700 students at one stage. It was also during her time as President that the school introduced its logo, as we now know it. This corresponded to the introduction of the school presentation spoons, which all the ladies remember fondly.
Mrs Joan McLean, mother to Jennifer (64), Andrew (67) and Greg (69) and grandmother to Stefan and Ellen all former students of RPS was the Treasurer of the Mothers Group during the time that decimal currency was introduced.
The support and long associations with Rosanna Primary School of amazing families like these is what makes Rosanna the place it is today and for that we say thank you to parents, past and present.
