,Welcome to our Child Safe page.  My name isLynda Whitechurch and I am the Assistant Principal here at Rosanna Primary. One of my responsibilities is the role of Child Safety Officer. It is an important role that aims to provide clear leadership and direction concerning the implementation of the Child Safe Standards.

The Child Safe Standards have been developed in a response to the Betrayal of Trust Report by the Victorian Government. Along with the Commonwealth Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, it highlighted the importance of protecting children from harm. The Child Safe Standards are compulsory minimum standards for all Victorian early childhood services and schools, to ensure they are well prepared to protect children from abuse and neglect.

Below, you will find some of the policies and commitments we have made to ensure that our students remain safe and protected. It is the responsibility of us all to hold each other to account for the safety of all children in our community. If you have any questions, concerns or wish to speak to me about the standards, please do not hesitate to make contact with me                                                                  through the office.
