![]() On Tuesday 20 October we had a scientist visit the 4/5/6 area. Lynda (who is a Biochemist) showed us an experiment where she extracted the DNA of a strawberry. She also showed us pictures of where she works at CSL and what they do there. They are responsible for producing the vaccination for flu shots! We all enjoyed trying on the special uniform that scientists must wear in the lab. We learnt a lot about how the flu vaccine is made (it’s a pretty long process), how it protects us and the importance of having it. We learnt lots and enjoyed her visit. A big thanks to Lynda for teaching us so much and answering all of our questions! Check out the 4/5/6 blog to find out more. Mandolin, on behalf of the 4/5/6 area.
