Everyone in Year 1 and Year 2 has enjoyed an evening dinner together of pizza, chips, fruit and an ice cream! After a filling meal they were entertained by a magic show that amazed everyone. While the Year 1 students headed home the Year 2 students participated in a night walk. Spotting of tawny frogmouths, ringtail possums and wonderous stars were just some of the highlights. A movie left everyone ready for a great night sleep! Thanks to the staff and volunteers who helped bring the night together and celebrate another step on a journey of independence.
Thanks to all who joined our Working Bee on Saturday. It is always a wonderful surprise, perhaps it shouldn't be, of what can be achieved when working together. Parents and students revitalised the North Eastern entry into the school with the support of Banyule Council. It has transformed this part of our school. A new orchard area has sprung up in the space between the shady tree and the playground with thanks to LRXA who donated apple, pomegranate, plum and other fruit trees. We look forward on the warmer months around the corner when our efforts will gain fruit!
Welcome back to our Rosanna Primary Community, We are all looking forward to the adventures of learning in the coming week. Our first week at school will start with teachers only as they plan and prepare for the year.

A great gathering of helpers support shifted 10 cubic metres of softfall under the playground areas today. Thanks to all who arrived and not only moved all the softfall but also replanted some small self planted trees as well as swept and blew the pathways, Some came for half an hour at the end of the school day while others stayed on and enjoyed pizza towards 5:30pm. Have a look at the difference on your next visit.
The biennial school fair is fast approaching! To be held on Saturday the 18th of November, this highly anticipated community-run event is organised by our wonderful team of volunteers, parents, friends and teachers, and made possible by the support and goodwill of local businesses and the community. We’re looking forward to a fun, exciting and successful fundraising day for our school.
The school fair is always a welcome arrival in our community with live entertainment, music, rides, activities, amusements, stalls selling food and local treats, and arts and crafts. Students, their families and our wider Rosanna and neighbouring community are sure to have a wonderful day out enjoying the activities on offer. But it’s not just a good time that we’re here for – our fair is a major fundraising effort, with all profits dedicated to improving the school grounds and providing better equipment and upgraded learning facilities for our students.
One of our biggest prizes on offer for the day (both in size and in value!) is the Vuly Thunder Summer XL Trampoline from the wonderful people at Vuly Play. While we love nothing better than seeing the kids outside and playing on the trampoline, there’s always that niggling moment of fear that your little ones will hurt themselves on the exposed metal spring (perfect for trapping little fingers) or the metal bars around the edges. But with Vuly Play trampolines, safety has been made the number one priority. You can rest easy knowing that your kids are safe when they’re bouncing and playing.
We’re delighted to be giving away a Vuly Play trampoline as one of the major prizes on offer in our school fair raffle, and we can’t wait to announce the winner and share the news with the lucky family who’ll be taking their brand new trampoline home. Make sure you’re there on the day of the fair to buy your tickets in the raffle and be in with a chance!
We can’t wait to see all the friendly smiling faces of our Rosanna community coming together for our upcoming fundraising fair, and we look forward to seeing you all there. Mark the 18th of November in your calendar now so that you and your family can come along, support our school and local community, and be a part of this unmissable school event.
