Students who receive English as an Additional Language (EAL) support opened their own restaurant this week. After a great deal of preparations and conversations they invited a friend to the restaurant. Students used formal language and questions to offer their guests a fine culinary experience that included toasted sandwiches with honey, Vegemite and/or jam. Students waited politely on tables, asking questions and recording responses. The experience was rich in language and conversation.
