There was a wide range of investigations students participated in on Friday. Students and staff had shaped opportunities for questions to be raised and explorations to be had. The learning was rich as evidenced in some of the student comments below.
There are lots of activities that we like doing and there are new things to discover.
At the Tinkering Spot you get to take things apart. You get to see inside things.
Cooking is fun. We make biscuits but we are not allowed to eat them at school.
I love the Lego and the Woodwork Table. I like making aeroplanes. I'm learning that using PVA glue and nails is hard because they stick together and then they just slip.
Sewing is really hard because the string gets all caught up. It's good to sew stuff. I'm making a blindfold and a top.
I've made an aeroplane by making two paper planes and stapling them together. The heavier it is the further it goes. It also depends how the winds are blowing. It goes a little bit fast.
